Pioneering for decades

We have certainly revolutionised dental technology with the introduction of thermoforming. Still convinced of this process, we continue to work on improving thermoforming technique with high-end equipment and specialised blanks.

Convince yourself of the many possible applications – from individual sports mouthguard to aligner therapy.

Drufomat scan

The Drufomat Scan offers a comprehensive solution for creating functional-diagnostic splints and gumshields, including those for Cranio-Mandibular Dysfunction (CMD) and snoring-related sleep disorders. The integrated barcode scanner quickly identifies the appropriate Biolon foil, streamlining the production of customized therapeutic splints.

Key Features

  • High-end thermoforming unit with user-friendly operation
  • Automatic barcode scanner for identifying blanks
  • Up to 6 bar pressure for consistent, precise results
  • Safety enhancements include two-hand operation and heating indicators
  • Versatile for all dental thermoforming applications

Drufosmart

The Drufosmart is a basic pressure thermoforming device that delivers up to 2.5 bar, tripling the pressure of typical vacuum units. Its semi-automatic operation, dual-hand safety control, and automatic heater switch-off ensure a secure and straightforward user experience.

Key Features

  • Enhanced safety with two-hand protection
  • Higher forming pressure compared to vacuum units
  • Integrated overheating protection

Drufosmart scan

The Drufosmart Scan features an integrated barcode scanner for automatic blank recognition and offers a working pressure of up to 4 bar. Its self-explanatory control panel and vertical blank impression technique ensure high-quality results. Safety is maintained through two-hand operation and automatic heater deactivation.

Key Features

  • Integrated barcode scanner for efficient workflow
  • Intuitive display with easy-to-use controls
  • Suitable for a broad range of thermoforming applications

Aligner technology is witnessing growing demand, particularly for adult patients seeking aesthetic solutions with minimal time investment and for correcting minor malalignments. Aligners enable tooth adjustments without the use of brackets, involving a series of small, incremental movements. For each step, a digital model is created, and a thermoformed foil (e.g., Biolon) is molded over the model. Each aligner is worn for approximately two weeks, with up to 35 splints needed per jaw, depending on the case.

Aligner Production Using Biolon

Biolon is a tough-elastic, transparent PETG foil with an insulating film for high clarity. It is ideal for aligners, bite splints, and other orthodontic appliances due to its ability to bond with acrylate.

Kombiplast

Kombiplast is a two-layer thermoforming blank made of PETG and EVA, offering a combination of a hard, durable surface with a soft, comfortable inner layer. This dual-layer structure provides excellent comfort for occlusion splints and can be customized with acrylate.

The Dreve Mouthguard Professional 3D represents the next generation of protective mouthguards, featuring an innovative 3D-printed insert encased between two EVA foils. The digital insert uses a flexible honeycomb structure to effectively absorb and disperse impact forces.

Benefits

  • Enhanced form stability and protection
  • Superior comfort through optimized force distribution
  • Filigree honeycomb insert with a hardness of approx. 43 Shore A for effective shock absorption

The integration of digital printing and traditional thermoforming results in better protection and comfort compared to previous models. This collaboration with sports scientists has produced a product that significantly reduces the risk of fractures and injury.

Laboratory Advantages: The printed insert simplifies production by eliminating the need for medium thermoforming and additional finishing steps. This reduces working time by up to 10 minutes per unit, translating to substantial time savings for large-scale production, such as for sports teams.
